As we look back on 2025, this year holds special significance for Inno. We celebrated 50 years of curiosity, courage, and purposeful design; values that have guided us since the beginning and continue to shape how we work today. Sustainability has been an integral part of our business for decades, rooted in long-lasting design, responsible material choices, and respect for both people and the planet.
Throughout the year, we remained focused on actions that support long-term environmental responsibility. Central to this work is our continued commitment to understanding and reducing the environmental impact of our operations. In recent years, Inno has calculated its carbon footprint in accordance with the internationally recognized Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), providing a clear framework for identifying key emission sources and guiding improvement efforts across production, logistics, and product development.
Supporting Forest Restoration and Local Communities

In 2025, Inno once again supported the growth of 50 hectares of forest in Ethiopia, building on our long-term commitment to forest restoration in the region based on Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) methods. Over the past several years, Inno has supported the regeneration of a total of 400 hectares of forest, which are expected to sequester approximately 4,240 tons of carbon dioxide annually under comparable conditions. World Vision is currently seeking Gold Standard certification for the forests initiated by Inno. Further details about the project, methodology, and impacts are available in the full report [PDF].
Beyond carbon sequestration, these afforestation efforts contribute to restoring biodiversity, improving water retention and soil quality, and strengthening food security for local communities, many of whom are among the most affected by climate change. Over the years, Inno’s supported forests have grown into a meaningful and measurable contribution toward climate action and ecosystem restoration.
Our Ongoing Sustainability Commitments
Throughout 2025, we continued to strengthen the principles that guide our everyday work:
- Combating climate change and supporting biodiversity through emission reduction and ecosystem protection.
- Using only responsibly sourced and certified wood in our production
- Aligning our production and environmental management systems with ISO 14001:2015 standards
- Continuing the use of renewable energy across our facilities and production processes
- Designing products for longevity to extend life cycles and reduce the need for replacement
For us, sustainability is inherently tied to design. Products that remain relevant for decades, can be repaired, adapted, and cared for, and are made from renewable and responsibly sourced materials represent one of the most effective ways to reduce environmental impact over time.

Looking Ahead
Celebrating 50 years has offered an opportunity to reflect not only on where we come from, but also on the responsibility that comes with longevity. Timeless design, enduring relationships, and thoughtful production methods have allowed Inno to evolve without losing sight of what matters most.
As we move into the coming year, we remain committed to maintaining and further developing these practices. We are grateful to our team, partners, and customers for being part of this journey and for sharing our belief that sustainable choices today help shape a better future.
Thank you for being part of Inno’s story.
