Designed by the renowned Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects in collaboration with Perkins&Will, led by visionary architect Chris Hardie, Shanghai Library East stands as one of the world’s largest and most innovative new libraries. Serving as a hub for art, culture, and technology-driven learning, it reflects the modern library’s evolving purpose. At the same time, its design pays homage to classical Chinese scholarship, with a structure inspired by the ancient literati’s scholar’s rock, grounding the space in cultural heritage. Inno’s furniture complements the library’s unique atmosphere across various areas: pieces like the Lab WW, Lab Tables, and Lab Stools add comfort to the main reading rooms and study halls, while products like Aura Bold, Lab XL, and Box create a relaxed, welcoming ambiance in the lounge spaces.
